ePOWER TIP:  (full story)

A Free (and much better) Alternative To Intranets.com ...

One of the best things that happened recently is that Intranets.com went from "free" to "fee". I say, "best" thing, because it forced my staff and I to find another resource to host team and group-based Intranets...

Thanks to ePOWER! NEWS subscribers Mark Benson (Keller Williams Platinum Realty, Naples, FL) and Linda Soesbe (McGinnis GMAC, Colorado Springs, CO) we have discovered a much better Intranet resource at CommunityZero.com. It appears to be much faster, less cluttered, and more useful as an Intranet than Intranets.com ever thought of being!

You can build your own private free team or company Intranet in minutes with this resource. I actually called the folks at Community Zero and asked how long they expected to keep this service free (given the trend of charging these days —the nerve! :o). They said that there are no plans at this time to charge for the basic service. However, since each free Intranet is limited to 5 MB of online storage, some groups will naturally want to upgrade to the Advantage™ service that provides five times as much storage for about $50 U.S. per month.

At RUSSER Communications we use Intranets to help run our business no matter where in the world I happen to be speaking. We simply could not function without one. If you haven't thought about organizing your real (or virtual) team via an Intranet, now is a *really* good time to consider it!
