Technology to Build His Business ...
Recognizing the importance of a strong Internet presence

Dear Michael,
When I attended your
3-Day Advanced Internet Marketing Boot Camp
event in January 2005, I learned about
several key concepts that have changed the
way I approach my business. This 3 day
seminar was so full of information and great
ideas that I attended again in 2006.
At that time, the most
intriguing thing in the promotional letter I
received about the event was that I should
come and find out how to use a Virtual
Assistant. I didn’t know what a VA was
before that, but when I heard you speak, the
idea struck a chord with me, and it didn’t
take long for me to act on this. As you know
I’ve been working with Vickie as my VA for
18 months, and this has really broadened the
scope of having professional assistance with
so many tasks. Having a VA has allowed me to
hand over so many of the details of support
and concentrate on what I do best.
I’ve also used

Elance with great success for
outsourcing design creation and production
of marketing materials for campaigns.
After you kept the
pressure on me, I implemented
Homefeedback.com to manage showing
feedback, and my listing sellers are happier
than they’ve ever been. So often sellers
never know what’s going on while their home
is on the market, and this system keeps them
in the loop. It also helps me acquire new
listings because the service is such a great
selling point. It has really reduced our
work in getting feedback in a timely
fashion, and my onsite listing coordinator
is able to handle the whole process.
Follow-up on leads is
critical to building a database and
establishing a relationship with prospective
clients, and prior to working with my VA, I
had nothing in place. If someone wasn’t
ready to do business when I first heard from
them, I had no way of following up, and 9
out of 10 fell through the cracks. The value
of using email drip campaigns is a
no-brainer! We set up a system 8 months ago,
and my VA handles this entire drip email
process - all it takes from me is 30 seconds
to forward leads to her every Monday. I can
directly credit three sales to our drip
email efforts, and in that time only 2
people have opted out, so my database
continues to grow.
One thing that has
really helped me is the brainstorming we’ve
done on developing my Unique Positioning
Statement to determine my niche in the real
estate field. This has given me the backdrop
to make decisions about where we should be
heading with all aspects of the business.
Establishing a focus on families and
families who are moving with their children
gives me the direction for building a
website that provides just what these
customers need.
A complete re-design of
my website will launch within the next few
weeks, and everything about it will be
geared toward making it really work for me.

through the process, and after I’d completed
the homework with the bubble charts, I had
all the information I needed to build the
site. I hired a top-notch web designer who
knows the key ingredients needed for a
powerful website. My current website looks
good, but less than 1% of my business is
generated from the website. Over 80% of
consumers today start their search for real
estate on the Internet, so having a powerful
website that can track activity and capture
new leads is essential for me. I’m confident
I’ll see a large increase in web based
business once the new site is in place.
In addition to the back
end site capabilities, this new site will be
an information rich resource for my target
clients. Whether they’re looking for free
reports and guides to real estate, or
preferred partners in the housing industry
for everything from roof repair to mortgage
lenders, they’ll find it on my website and
hopefully refer others to visit.
