Getting It Right —And Loving It! ...

For G-II Varrato II and his wife Lori Klindera, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage agents in Phoenix, creating a high level partnership with their VA has lifted a tremendous time burden off their backs, and allowed them to focus instead on implementing strategies to move their already successful business to a new level.

After a somewhat bumpy start in our use of Virtual Assistants, we're happy to report that the rough ride is over and working with a VA has been a tremendous asset to our business.

When we enrolled in your 10-week telecoaching program and first heard about using VAs to handle many details of the business, we immediately hired not one, but two VAs! And we learned some hard lessons about the right way to go about it.

We had used on-site assistants, only to see them leave after we had invested time, energy and money training them. So hiring a highly skilled VA seemed like the perfect solution. But what everyone should know is that after you do your due-diligence and interview candidates and take the leap of faith in choosing a VA, you have to be willing to take the time to let your VA know the way you want things done in your business.

Right off the bat we wanted so badly to turn over so many tasks to our VAs that we loaded up everything into a wheelbarrow and dumped it in their laps. One was completely overwhelmed and didn't stick around. The other, Crystal, is with us today, and has helped us put together an extremely effective strategy for staying in touch with our customers and keeping them happy, as well as managing much of our technology.

Several weeks ago, both of us as agents were spending a huge amount of time on the phone, holding the hands of exasperated sellers, trying to reassure them about selling their homes in a challenging market. Now we have a beautiful system where Crystal sends out bi-weekly, personal emails to all sellers, providing them with up-to-date information detailing buyer interest in their property, taken directly from website activity and other tracking information. An unexpected benefit of this is that when sellers are faced with the bottom line of seeing a lot of buyer activity – but still no sale – they often come to the realization that a price adjustment is needed.

Crystal is very technically astute and understands the tools G-II has set up for the business. We worked in tandem to come up with a system that she can manage independently, logging into any of our computers virtually from her own office. The system works on a template basis, is time efficient, and provides robust information for our sellers. She also understands the web environment and the many tools we use in our business, and is able to troubleshoot technical issues without us.

Our business is strictly Internet driven, and other projects we're working on are building a new highly branded website. We're using your tools and templates line by line and word by word to build a website that is more intuitive and interactive for Internet empowered consumers. Outsourcing tasks from logo design to script writing are an inexpensive alternative for getting these things done with high quality results.

We feel your course is an absolute must for anyone who wants to understand how to take advantage of working in the Internet environment. You have to at least know what can be done – your VA can work out the details and implement your strategies and leave you free to concentrate on the things that drive the business. Define what you need to have done, reach an understanding with your VA about getting it done, then step back and embrace the idea of getting your paws off the project!
